What Makes It Awesome

Instagram really does toss up some interesting brands every now and then. And it's always interesting to come across brands that do something different, apart from the usual fruit-scented scrubs and face washes. What drew our attention to Taseer was their focus on overall wellness rather than just cosmetic purposes.

The brand is all about keeping the Unani tradition alive and focuses on using age-old remedies that are handed down generations, made with real ingredients without any chemical additives. These beauty remedies are plant-based, halal-certified, vegan and cruelty-free. The brand is family-owned and features remedies brought over all the way from Afghanistan. We have our eye on their Farozaan Ubtan Mask with oatmeal, nut powders like cashew and walnut, dried flowers like rose and jasmin, citrus powders and tomato powder (INR 550). This is supposed to even out skintone and give a natural glow. We also love adding natural rose water to our routines and they have a Maraasim Rose Water that looks great (INR 300).

So if you're searching for something a little more unique than your run-of-the-mill drugstore brands, something that's steeped in tradition and is a family-run brand that's all about the personal touch, check out Taaseer.

What Could Be Better

These are natural products and as such require a bit more maintenance in terms of storage and use.

You can shop their products via the website. As these are smaller batch, they might go out of stock sooner than the usual mass-produced brands.
