One wouldn't expect a fancy boutique in Parel that sells stunning traditional outfits, unless one bumps into Mehrunissa. The store's collection is as beautiful as its name, and we've swiped right on it. 

The boutique's divided into sections. One houses the traditional brilliance that there is, and the other hoards chic as well as funky casual wear, plus the simple cotton kurti sets. We fell flat for the gorgeous anarkalis that come with sharara pants (on special demand) and have heavy brocade and zari work on them. Starting at INR 8,000 and going up to INR 19,000, Mehrunissa pieces make you shine in the crowd. 

In case you want to invest on that gown with the perfect flares, you've got to buy one from here. We saw a bottle-green one that etched a permanent place in our heart. The gowns start at INR 7,000 and go up to INR 20,000. 

We wish they had more branches in the city. But Parel's just a train-ride away so we aren't really complaining.
