What Is It?

We’ve always dreamed of staying in a tree house since we read stories written by Enid Blyton as children. Now, thanks to a few individuals and companies, that childhood dream has become a reality. With stunning views, a tree house experience gives something a high-rise in Mumbai will never provide – peace, quiet and time to reflect.

Here are some of the tree house resorts you can visit outside the city.

Amrutes’ Nisarga Sahavas

This tree house resort is located in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district, and has a number of activities to keep you busy like a 3 hour farm tour, a planting session for kids, harvesting fruits and vegetables and other local farming activities, and a bird watching excursion. If this doesn’t entice you enough, they also have an organic farm that produces a variety of fruits and vegetables like mango, cashew, coconuts, kokam, jackfruit, banana, chiku and pineapples. Apart from this, the farm also grows spices such as cinnamon, bayleaf and nutmeg. If you ask, they will also let you know about special modak making classes, taught by the host.
