Go Green: Join Hands With This Group To Plant A 1,000 Saplings In Borivali

Bhavika posted on 03 July

What Is It?

On July 8, you can join a group in Borivali and help them plant trees there as part of their drive.

Who Is It For?

It’s for those who would like to bring in change and help the environment in some way, but haven’t been able to do so individually. Or if you get that climate change is real and is affecting us. Trump can go take a hike.

Why Should I Go?

By joining a pre-existing group, your will/intention to conserve the environment won’t just remain at  ‘Oh, I want to, but…’. Organised by a community called The Persistent Mavericks, the plantation drive’s agenda is to plant a 1,000 trees in the Western Mumbai region of Borivali alone. A group of young Mumbai citizens, The Persistent Mavericks are not part of a formal organisation or an NGO, but they go about doing small, meaningful little deeds, such as providing cold drinks to labourers working in the heat, visiting hospital cells, and have fundraisers for different societal causes.

Anything Else?

If you would like to get involved with them, you can get in touch with them here.
