It's the ideal season to go on a trek, what with the weather being perfect and the surroundings being awash with greenery. Mahuli Fort in Asagaon, Thane District, is one of the highest points in the area and stands out due to the unusual nature of the rock formations that surround it. These pinnacles or rock formations are a popular draw for rock climbers and adventure enthusiasts.
Surrounded by gorgeous forests that especially come to life during the rains, the area is considered a natural sanctuary. This trek is a day trip that departs early in the morning on July 21 at 5 AM from Borivali station. Meet up with fellow trekkers and tour organisers in front of the Gora Gandhi hotel. From there, you'll take a private bus to the base village. Here, you'll have a chance to store up some energy and eat breakfast before the trek. You'll hike to the top of the fort, and enjoy lunch (we suggest you pack easy to eat lunch) and then you'll start the descent back to the base village. From here, it's back on the bus, ready to get back to Mumbai.
