Trek a mountain or simply take a walk in the deep jungles with this monsoon trek to Maharashtra's Mount Everest a.k.a. Mount Kalsubai. Located in the Western Ghats, the summit of the mountain is situated at an elevation of 5,400 feet, making it the highest point in Maharashtra.
After assembling at Dadar (which is the meeting point), you'll head in a private bus with the other trekkers towards the peak. Once you've reached the destination, quickly freshen up and head upwards to touch the highest point. It's going to be a four to five-hour trek starting an early 6 in the morning. There are some places where it is difficult to climb, however, there are chains, steel railings and ladders for your convenience. Once at the topmost point, sit back, relax and explore. For sure, it's a one time experience. After an hour, you'll start descending to reach the base village. After a delicious lunch, head back towards Mumbai. You're scheduled to reach Mumbai around 8 PM.
