With so many places to trek and hike at, within a 100 km radius of Mumbai, it’s no surprise that Mumbai is abundant in groups that meet up for treks and camping. Looking to join a group? Here’s a list of the best ones!

Mumbai Hikers

Mumbai Hikers is an online community that has been a big rage amongst hikers and trekkers since 2005.

What They Do: They do not conduct any treks themselves, but are a community for all trekking enthusiasts to network on. As a trekker you can post your travel stories, or even details about any treks that you’re organizing.

Aasamant

Aasamant was founded by three enthusiastic individuals who wanted to share their love for nature and adventure with the city.

What They Do: This trio has partnered with experienced trekkers who organize and lead treks all around India. They have visited places like Jim Corbett National Park, Harihar, Anjaneri, Kakrala and many more. Their aim is to make trekking more fun, accessible and adventurous for all. 

Treks and Trails

Treks and Trails was established in 2012 by 3 friends, and aims at celebrating adventure in a responsible manner.

What They Do: They conduct tours that are eco-friendly, and helpful to the local economy. They conduct dry runs before the treks, ensuring that all things are taken care of for the big day. You can join this community to indulge in trekking, forest trails, cycling, paragliding, high altitude trekking, and much more.

P.S: They've also done a Mount Everest Base Camp trek. 

Small Steps Adventures

This Mumbai based trekking group offers other activities like rappelling, scuba diving, kayaking, rock climbing, valley crossing and much more.

What They Do: With adventure as their main focus, Small Steps Adventures conducts treks around Mumbai, and these treks are led by experienced individuals who also double up as trek guides. If you wish to discover the Western Ghats, we highly recommend joining this group. 

Mumbai Travellers

Mumbai Travellers once started as just a small concept to unite travel lovers from Mumbai, is one of the largest Trekking Groups in Mumbai today, and one of the largest in India with a family of more than 44,000 happy travellers.

What They Do: From nature trails and treks to wildlife safaris, camping and backpacking, Mumbai Travellers is a community for those who like unique and offbeat travel experiences.     

Ayudh Adventures

Ayudh Adventures is for those who’re looking for a tough trek and are well experienced in hiking and mountain climbing.

What They Do: Run by certified mountaineers, they conduct treks all over India, and are known for their scenic and adventurous treks to Sikkim, Himalayan passes and Sahyadris. The treks are led by certified tour leads.
