Raasta at Khar is brought by brainchild Joy Singh after a successful setup in Delhi. Raasta proudly promotes Rastafarian culture with its food dishes curated with pinch of Caribbean spices and flavours. Keeping in mind Indian customers the taste still remains desi. It is located within a walking distance from Khar Station. Their food emphasizes more on International cuisines and if you are cocktail person do try their bongtails.
Food:
1> Jamaican Tandoori Chicken – Well a bit of twist in spices to our regular tandoori chicken with the blend of jerk spices used in it. Chicken was marinated well and was juicy/tender.
2> Chicken Sausage Bacon Wrapper – Great in terms of taste with the honey mustard adding extra zing to the tastebuds.
3> Half & Half (Pizza) – Loved the concept of two semi sides of pizza with different toppings. We chose the All Meat Square & Feta, spinach & Mushroom. Crust was thin and crispy with good proportion of toppings added to it. A Must try!!
Drinks:
1> Tiki Taka – Concotion of whiskey, passion fruit syrup, and pineapple juice. Presentation could have been better.
2> Bahama Mama : Concoction of dark and white rum, coffee, coconut cream and pineapple juice. Coffee flavour outstands this cocktail.
Ambience – Ambience is vibrant with the colours and designs on the wall showcasing Caribbean theme. Overall it gets mid lit with the clocking ticking. Dedicated space at the centre where artists show case their talent with various dance forms. Do check out their zomato page for each day of the week kept for varied events.
