Vadapav has been taken to the next level by Jugaadi Adda. They have 4 outlets across Mumbai, we went to the Girgaum outlet. There is no space to stand or sit, this is like the roadside street food outlet. This outlet was so crowded and there was no space to give orders too. Great to see good food is appreciated even at smaller outlets like this.
They have more than 170 types of VadaPav, Samosa Pav and Bhajji Pav varieties. You will get a lot of varieties of like never imagined for eg. Dal Makhani Vadapav, American Mac n Cheese Vadapav, Mango Jalapeno Vadapav, etc. Their service is very quick here and depending on the crowd around you, you might have to wait just a few minutes before you get your amazing Vadapav in your hand.
Food
We tried a total of 5 items here. First up is the GODFATHER VADAPAV - I had heard from a few friends that this is a good one here. Let me make it clear that all the dishes we had were served hot and if you order it from home it might not be as tasty as it tastes at the outlet because the sauces will make things soggy. It will taste good but not as great as it tastes at the outlet. So, Godfather Vadapav is the
The cheesiest vada pav here but spicy at the same time.
It is a combination of chilli Garlic, tandoori and orange cheese sauce. It tasted very cheesy and Tandoori sauce makes it even better. Next up was VIP VADAPAV - This is a perfect blend of orange cheese with tandoori base and a hint of BBQ with veggies, Iceberg lettuce, Tomato, Capsicum and Onion. This was more like a burger and less like vada pav because the pav used had sesame seeds on it.
Next one looked appealing to us on paper - INDI-ITALIA VADAPAV. This is a Pizza flavoured Vada Pav with blended liquid cheese with a hint of Jalapenos, Onion, Tomato and Capsicum. This is the biggest of all that we had. It is hard to consume these vada pavs without messing your hand so make sure you ask for enough Tissues. This was an amazing vada pav too with crispy bread and hot vada.
To end the Vadapav we had a regular one which consists of Vada, Pav, Green chilli chutney, Imli chutney and what we call "sukha chutney". This was as good as you can expect. We tried all the famous ones but I need to try some unique ones as well which I mentioned above. Have whatever you want but do try a regular one too.
Desserts
This was our take on dessert cum Samosa trying session - CHOCOLATE SAMOSA PAV - I first thought this would be a regular samosa pav with chocolate sauce over it but this is a chocolate filled samosa in a pav, on which chocolate sauce is poured along with the sweet syrup. A perfect to end your spicy sessions. We enjoyed the time here but lack of standing or seating place might bother you especially in summers or if you visit in the noon. This is a popular place amongst orderers as within the time we were at the outlet, I saw at least 7 take-away by the delivery guys.
