Before you plan your next trip to Goa, let us tell you about The Village Studio, a new art space and area to stay at, in a lilting hamlet of Goa.

What’s It Like?

Started by Laila Vaziralli, co-founder of the popular Kitsch Mandi, The Village Studio is a happy, bustling and creative space in North Goa that opens doors in less than a fortnight. It will be welcoming travellers, artists and the likes to its abode, come September.

At this airy and lush location at the edge of a reserve forest, there will be a lot of colour and quirk for creative inspiration. It’s not just a regular place for you to stay in, but a dedicated hub of ongoing art classes and workshops in art, design and more to keep you creatively occupied. Their first workshop taking place is one on block-printing.

There will be a small café with a day bar for people to grab a quick bite at or work out of, get all day breakfast at and sip on pina coladas for true beach vibes.

But most importantly {to us, Goa-hungry souls in Mumbai} there shall be art rooms made beautifully for people to stay in and get a slice of the peaceful life. These have been designed filled with beautiful art, gorgeous design books and more décor to make your stay absolutely wonderful. There are two such rooms in the property, both of which are joined by a common kitchen and living room. You can stay in them at INR 900/1,000 per night for two people during off-season. The rates will vary during the peak season, at up to INR 1,500 per night for two people.

So, We're Saying...

Stay in the heart of North Goa, far enough to be shielded from the noise and crowd of Vagator and Baga, and close enough to hop on to a bike and reach in ten minutes. Follow The Village Studio on their Facebook page here for more details. We’re excited to make our way here the next time the bus drops us off at Panjim station, Goa.
