What Makes It Awesome

All Parsis love their meals and the community is known to be one of those who takes its food very seriously. I am one such Parsi and that's why I was really excited to visit Sodabottleopenerwala.

I straight up went ahead with their Irani Menu {specially prepared by Chef Anaida}. I tried their Irani Biryani {Eshfahan Beryani}, it consists of fire roasted minced lamb, sans the rice, yeah, don't be shocked as originally biryani came without the rice. Beyrani also means 'roasted in fire'.

Next up I tried - The Persian Chicken and Mutton Bowl from Chef Anaida's special menu. I preferred the chicken bowl over the mutton. While the chicken bowl had chicken jujeh kabab, chicken in tomato sauce with berries, sauteed vegetables, bean rice, a mixed salad along with potato sticks. The mutton bowl consisted of black lime flavoured lamb shank, bean rice, dips, mixed salad, and potato sticks.

The chicken bowl clearly gave me more variety.

Next, I tried the bacon kheema macaroni which was simply delicious and my taste buds totally approved of it. My friends ordered a vegetarian sandwich as well which was well made.

As no Parsi can do without their drink, I too ordered a cocktail - Finding Frenny, in simple words, gin and tonic.

We ended our meal with a big smile on our faces and a happy tummy. We were too full to order desserts but we will try those the next time for sure.

What's My Pro Tip?

Parsi or non-Parsi, if you are someone who enjoys Parsi food then you should definitely visit this eatery.
