Our find for the week has been quite an interesting one. And if you like all things color, or all things banjaaran, then we've found you a true match for giving your wardrobe a nomadic update. Ladies, say hello to Vuri Studio!
This brand believes in enabling women to make a killer fashion statement, without killing the planet while they're at it. Their entire collection is handcrafted using discarded fabrics by big fashion houses (we don't think we need to name them now) This sustainable brand creates one-of-a-kind statement tops, jackets, dresses and shrugs that resemble the beautiful Bandhani print of Gujarat and we love this confluence of Indian and western designs. We absolutely love the Banjaaran Raag patchwork jacket and the rouge jackets that start at INR 2,500. Their dresses are called Wanderlust, Globe Trotter, Vagabond, and Banjaaran (we know the traveler in you is happy to read these names) Their tops, that can be worn with jeans, pallazos, dhoti pants, or even skirts, are called Urban Nomads or Wayfarer tops. There's also a top that's called a Banjaarapan gathered crop top (INR 1,800) which we think steals the show.
We think if you're looking for a wardrobe update, or want to explore a new indie brand for your casuals, rather than investing in the biggies, go vocal for this local homegrown brand and buy their killer stuff!
