Walking With Words

What's Happening

Mumbai is an interesting city, with every corner that's larger than life. And if you're someone who lives and breathes history, then we might have a perfect event to make that weekend of yours eventful. On January 4, Mumbai Riders, along with Alisha Sadikot, is taking people on a historic tour to Kala Ghoda and Fort. It's a reader's heritage walk, that's called 'Walking With Words', and it explores the iconic neighbourhood that Kala Ghoda is.

The walk starts from the Shivaji Statue near the Gateway of India and explores the earliest history of the area. Did you even know that Kala Ghoda was initially an island that was occupied by the traders of the East India Company? That's all the more reason for you to sign up for the walk. This tour aims to unearth the hidden histories of the place. And during the course of the walk, you will also get to meet diarists, poets and novelists who tell you about their experiences puraani Mumbai (or fondly called Bombay, 'cause it's an emotion, right?) So, if you're up for knowing your city better, signing up for this makes total sense. And if you're an LBB user, you're eligible for a 15% discount on the normal ticket price for the walk (which is INR 950) Just pay INR 808, and head to Gateway Of India at 8 AM to make that Saturday worthwhile.
