What Is It?
Head to Aarey Colony for this memorable experience which will include a lunch with tribal women, a shopping experience, Warli painting and more.
Who Is It For?
For those who want to try something new and help out at the same time. The lunch is being organised by a group that works for the welfare of local tribal women in Aarey Colony in Goregaon East. It's also a good excuse to explore this totally underrated side of Mumbai, in case you haven't yet.
Why Should I Go?
Because of the sheer variety of the activities planned. You can not only view the on-site live cooking of the tribal meal, you can also shop for organic vegetables from the farm next door, have a meditation and energy healing session, interact with tribal locals, go on an Aarey bus tour, experience a Warli painting workshop, and participate in a mehendi artist corner.
Anything Else?
The idea behind the event is to give us a chance to relish a truly authentic tribal meal and absorb the native culture in a typical rural village in the heart of Mumbai. As always, there's a side to Mumbai we don't know, and here's our chance to get to know it better.
