What Makes It Awesome

Divya Bhatia is a Mumbai-based illustrator who makes fun and quirky watercolour caricatures for you. And if you have a pet, she will immortalize your friendship in watercolours. She has converted real-life pictures and memories into beautiful water paintings, immortalising her client’s memories.

Divya took classes in cartoon drawing and immediately picked it up. She tells us, after sharing the work on her account, she started getting a lot of response. Just follow her illustrious Instagram page @youknowhertoo , and you’ll find water colour-based cartoons featuring portraits of families, couples, and even their doggos and cats.

Additionally, she also works on wedding invitations, and customises them according to your requirements.

These are handmade, converted into a digital print, starting from INR 7000. She has also expanded her art into customised stamps (INR 1750 onwards). These are self-inking, so you don’t have to get all messy while adding a personal touch to your envelopes, or parties while stamping away.

The caricatures work so well because she hand-paints all of them, accentuates a particular feature and voila, it is ready. They look particularly realistic while being slightly animated and exaggerated, making them nothing short of giggles and fun.

All you need to do is, get in touch with her, share a photograph you’d like (along with individual photos so she gets a sense of the personality). If you are fond of something, in particular, do tell her about your quirks.

For example, a woman who loved shoes got shoes in the frame. In fact, she will first share the draft with you, and if you are satisfied with it, water colour them and send them across to you. She will deliver these paintings in a wooden frame in three standard sizes: A5 (INR 3000), A4 (INR4500), and A3 (INR 6250).

You can get in touch with her to understand more about the process and pricing.
