What Makes It Awesome?

Krishivan Agritourism Resort near the famous Sagargad Fort at Alibaug is a perfect place for a quick getaway with family or small group of friends. It's the ideal destination if you plan on escaping the busy city life & spend a peaceful weekend with nature, or for a school camp/picnic {with a lot of activities}.

For families, it's best to stay at Aadivasi {two adults and a kid - INR 2,500/night, or wooden huts for two adults- INR 2,000/night}. It's very clean and well maintained. For very big groups {more than 15-20 people} they've made a dormitory hut which can accommodate 6 people in each room with two attached washrooms {perfect for bachelors}.

The meals have to be purchased separately, vegetarian meals cost INR 250/head and non-vegetarian meals cost INR 350/head, which is quite reasonable considering the quality and variety they provide, and also because the food is organic and homegrown.

You can also enjoy a visit to the farm with Mr Sachin Baikar, the host, who will tell you about all the modern methods of farming and the effective use of organic techniques for sustainable agriculture.

If you decide to stay at the resort, you can enjoy the private swimming pool or head to the peaceful Varsoli beach which is approximately 20 kilometers from the resort. At night, you can get them to arrange for a barbeque and dinner with a campfire in the dining area. The best part is, if you want them to cook something special, you can always request. Expect great hospitality by Sachin and his team.

I had planned my Mother's birthday outing here, and the decorations made by the team were beautiful. She was completely surprised and overwhelmed.

The weekend was full of fun and relaxation. Still cannot get over the scenic beauty we woke up to that morning. Perfect time to visit is in the monsoon, so you can enjoy rains and the lush green farm. People going in groups can go for a trek nearby at Sagargad fort.

Most people visiting the place are from Mumbai or Pune. For people from Mumbai, it's 48 kilometres from Panvel, so you can catch the old Panvel highway, go via Karnala, enjoy a bit over there and go ahead at Pen. You'll reach in around 2 hours by road.

What Could Be Better?

This is a great spot to arrange picnics with a lot of activities for small companies or corporates. Everything was perfect.
