Bow To Bao: This Restaurant Serves Unmissable Prawn Rolls & Roast Duck Bao

What Makes It Awesome

This being my first Sushi experience, it had to take place at The Fatty Bao, which has numerous outlets in the city. We first ordered the Roast Duck Bao, which was amazing. {Word of caution: Most Bao dishes are a bit on the sweeter side, in case that does not suit your taste.} However, the contrasting textures of the bao and the meat inside it did the job for me. The duck offered a certain crunchiness which is something that your teeth eventually come to after going through the soft bao bread and that makes the Bao a really interesting concept. We also ordered the BBQ Chicken Bao but it failed to overshadow the Roast Duck Bao.

For Sushi, we ordered the Dragon Roll which tasted amazing, save for the fact that the sauces upon the Sushi should have been brought in separately, as Sushi is one dish that you definitely want to try without any other flavour's interference. Having Sushi for the first time also meant having Wasabi for the first time and thank goodness, that I did not gorge on it. Another thing that we ordered was The Fatty Pho Ramen which turned out to be just okay.
