Get Gourmet-Style Kutchi Roti At Trupti Sweets In Lower Parel

Tucked away in a corner of High Street Phoenix is one of Mumbai's best farsaan and sweets store. Next time you are at Phoenix and feeling hungry, look beyond the usual McDonald's and other eateries.

Trupti is a place you should visit for some lip-smacking savouries when you are on the go. It may not have a fancy exterior nor any place to sit, but it does offer a table where you can stand and enjoy some traditional Gujju snacks.

While this place offers some amazing options like Pani Puri, peas samosas, handvo and dhoklas, what struck my attention the most was their Kutchi Roti. While most Mumbaikars are aware of the usual Kutchi Dabeli which is a staple street food, Trupti gives this humble dish a gourmet twist. Priced at INR 90, this dish is a great snack to have while you are shopping at this mall. It is larger than the usual Dabeli and prepared in a clean and hygienic environment and served with delicious chutneys.

Since it is the size of a burger, I would recommend just ordering one per person. You can also add one of Trupti's trademark sweets to go with this Kutchi Roti and leave this place with a big smile on your face.

This place is often crowded on weekends or evenings and I do hope they invest in some more space to arrange comfortable seating
