Smooth, complex, and meant for savouring - some of the world's best malts come together at your table at Slink & Bardot this Thursday. The sleek lounge-restaurant known for its upscale vibe and intimate ambiance is hosting a 4-course meal curated by Chef Alexis Gielbaum that's complete with a whiskey pairing for each course.
Meant for the true appreciator, this meal carefully pairs each course with a fine malt for a beautifully rounded experience. Inspired by the craft of creating a fine whiskey, each course draws from this finely tuned process and pays homage to 4 stellar whiskeys.
The first course "Grain" pairs juniper-glazed parsnips, rye crackers and cereal grains with a smokey yet balanced Scapa Glansa. The second course "Malting" pairs King Trumpet scallops (or a vegetarian variation) with malted barley and vanilla jus, and glazed pearl onions with the spicy and exotic The Genlivet 15 French Oak Reserve. Next up is the "Distilled" course which pairs a confit duck cigar (or jackfruit option), radish, fennel, and gooseberry salad and whiskey and orange marmalade with a deep and fruity Aberlour 16. Finally for the dessert course "Frozen", an Irish coffee patissier is paired with a creamy Longmorn Distillers Choice. Beautifully plated in true Slink & Bardot style, each dish is an artful blend of creativity and flavour that's sure to be both photo-worthy and delicious!
Seats are limited, so we suggest you book a table soon and make Thursday date night this week.
