Co-working in Mumbai has taken a very interesting twist with The Local, which has a very new approach to finding a space for us to finish off our day’s work.

How Does It Work?

The Local converts restaurants and bars that are either shut or unoccupied during the day into coworking spaces or what they call ‘work bars’. With free refreshments, high-speed internet connection, printing services, and discounts on food and beverages, The Local aims to provide as much as possible to their members and ensure to create a productive environment and community.

They are currently tying up with locations, all around Mumbai and will be soon be expanding to Delhi, Bangalore and Pune. With monthly memberships costing only INR 6,000, embers can move around from location to location without having to pay anything extra.

Anything Else?

Their first location is in Khar at Raasta, and they are hosting a co-working experience event on Tuesday, December 6 which you can check out.

So, We're Saying...

We love this concept, and are looking forward to seeing what other Mumbai eateries and bars they sign up with.

Check out their website here for more information.

I love food, Bombay and people who do amazing things just for the sake of doing them.
