Ten-Second Takeaway

Casa De Cocum in Dabolim might be much closer to the airport than your regular Goan holiday homes or resorts, but it doesn’t compromise on an ocean view. And neither does it take short cuts as far as holiday vibes are concerned with its beautiful Spanish vibe.

Castle On The Hill

Located in Dabolim, just 4 kms from the airport — Casa De Cocum {what a cute name!} offers the best of both worlds — convenience and peace, all nicely gift wrapped with an absolutely stunning view of the ocean. The Villa has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate as many as 8 people, for about INR 3,300 each.

With a bohemian decor, complimented with decorative motifs that include vases, China and Buddha statues, Casa De Cocum is both inviting and captivating. Walking into the house, you notice everything that comes into your head when one says Bohemian. From the handcrafted room dividers, clever tiling and walls echoing every pastel shade within the spectrum to the heat combating strategy {air conditioning of course}), a modern, well-equipped kitchen and an ultra modern bar, Casa De Cocum combines elements of the old and the new in perfect harmony. The rooms also showcase this perfect balance, with the classic design of the bedroom perfectly complimenting the super modern bathrooms.

What Do You Get In Paradise?

Each room has an attached bathroom and all come with a scenic view of their own. All basic amenities and toiletries are provided. Dine with a view, as the dining room opens up to an expanse of blue. The owners will even help you get by, by driving you around and giving you recommendations of restaurants close by and places to visit. You also get a change of sheets and towels every second day, or upon request. Grab a book and relax with a view of the ocean on the deck or rent a scooter and explore Dabolim — Casa De Cocum caters to every traveller. The bed and breakfast also offers free parking facilities.

Now, after all of this beauty, you’ll need to update Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat. Worry not, the B&B offers free Wi-Fi. Also, there’s a first aid kit always ready, for emergency purposes.

History, Beaches & Mussels

If you’d like to venture outside, recommendations from the locals and the hosts are your best source. Head to the nearby Naval Aviation Museum to soak up some Indian Naval History. Close by beaches include Bogmalo and Hollant, where you can go for a walk or head to the shacks for a beer. Head to Joet’s nearby for some delicious seafood like their mussels rava fry and prawn biryani.

You can book the villa here.

Look out for Toby, the pet boxer.

They will also be opening a fourth room soon, which we’re super excited about.
