Baner has come a long way these past few years! From entertainment and shopping, to food and nightlife – there are few things you’d want for, that you wouldn’t be able to get here. That being said, here are 5 awesome finds that are unique to Baner.

Pagdandi Cafe

This cosy book shop/cafe is undoubtedly one of Baner’s most popular spots. Cuddle up with a book and a warm cuppa chai, go here on a first date, or just enjoy their small menu of super-sized specialty burgers. In addition to selling brand-new books, they also have a community library of second-hand books that you can ‘borrow’ or buy from them. There are plenty of events that happen at Pagdandi Cafe throughout the week, from book launches to poetry readings, open mic nights, writing workshops, and even an acoustic singer-songwriter gig or two. Check out our recommendation here.

Studio Doodle Tales

A collaborative effort by homegrown brands The Doodle Factory and House of Tales, Studio Doodle Tales is an artistic person’s paradise. Sharpen your creative skills through one of their many workshops in the contemporary arts {brush lettering, modern calligraphy, doodling}, learn new ones through their tribal arts workshops {think Madhubani art, lippan kaam, etc} with local artisans, or pick up a new hobby {knitting, crocheting, emboridery}! There’s also a little shop section where you can purchase products made by the two parent brands, such as notebooks, shopping bags, handkerchiefs, illustrated note-cards, wooden trays, organisers, wine racks, and more.

Beautiful Minds

Beautiful Minds is a social enterprise concept store which celebrates handicrafts and art made by differently-abled artists. Here you’ll find eco-friendly bags and accessories, unique pieces of home decor, Boho-style jewellery, and even a range of special board games for kids. Shop their products for a good cause – read our recommendation here or check out their website for more information.

Mr. Rabbit's Bar & Burrow

Fall down the rabbit hole at this quirky Alice in Wonderland-themed bar and restaurant. Opened in September last year, they’ve grown into a hot-spot for delicious food and crazy cocktails. Mr. Rabbit’s is a passion project of the Shetty brothers, and there’s a lot of care and effort that goes into everything you see, eat, and drink. Read our recommendation here.
