We discovered this place via a pesearsonal recommendation by a friend. We were there during the first week of April. It was nice and sunny. We just expected a nice meal, but got more than we bargained for. The place is run by just one guy, Josh. He is the warmest host I have come across in my travels not only in Goa but everywhere else too. He takes care of two Labradors, Chai and Biscuit. Biscuit is the older, more mature one. Chai is the younger, more adventurous ball of energy.
We were about 8 of us so we pretty much ordered everything on their menu. I don't think there was a single dish that we didn't like. The food was the best meal I'd eaten in Goa, that trip. From the prawns to the chicken cafreal to the coconut water based cocktail. Everything was perfect. We had the entire "shack" to ourselves. Sand under our feet and a gazebo above us, we hung out there for over 3 hours.
My friend and I have an extreme fondness for dogs. She has two of her own. Chai and Biscuit both took an instant liking to us. Chai absolutely loves attention. After stuffing our faces, the rest of our friends just lay down on the hammocks provided by the lovely peeps at Pousada. Josh was ready with some more of those absolutely magical coconut water and rum cocktails, upon our return. We watched the sunset at Pousada and headed back to our villa.
