Go to East Street and ask anyone where to get a plate of delectable piping hot samosas, and we bet a lifetime, they will guide you towards Akhtar’s Samosa Stall, a little kiosk, run by Mohammed Akhtar for very many decades, perpetually overcrowded with patrons between 4.00pm and 8.00pm.
This Samosa Stall Has Been Serving The Best Mutton Keema Samosas For The Last Two Decades

Tell Me More
Situated opposite to Cafe Coffee Day at MG Road, this popular roadside food joint serves the best {no exaggeration} keema samosa in town. The best part about Akhtar bhai’s creation, undoubtedly is the gourmet thin patti, extremely light on the palate, fresh and crispy. Available in mutton, chicken and buff meat, these medium-sized samosas, served on paper plates, cost not more than INR 20 a piece. These mouthwatering wonders for a snack, are religiously stuffed with a combination of minced meat, fine chopped onions, coriander, peas and chilli powder, not too greasy yet striking a perfect balance of all the rich spices.
Not as hyped as the non-veg version, Akhtar’s vegetable samosas for INR 15 a piece are a must-try too! Operating between 3.00 pm and 8.00 pm, this little kiosk sells over 1,000 samosas each day. We recommend you visit the stall before 6 to avoid the large crowd, but mostly because everything is sold out by 7 pm.
What more? Akhtar takes bulk party orders for fish, tandoori chicken and prawns samosas. However, you have to put in the request well in advance!
So, We're Saying...
Akhtar does justice to the very definition of samosa! If you love meat, and you love samosas, this is the place to be, no questions asked.
