When Gaurav Bhardwaj (Tech Marketeer and Co-Founder, Beno) moved to South Goa, he saw a huge gap for a great breakfast place or an all-day café. A place to work and chill all day but one that also transforms into a full-fledged restaurant and bar by evening with live gigs and some great cocktails. And he’s managed to create just that, and more.
Beno’s menu, curated by co-founder Chef Avinash, is inspired by his different travel experiences. Specialties like Ode to Odisha (Poshto) & Goan bread Poi-based dishes tell us stories of discovering India, while Shakshuka and Turkish Eggs give us a taste of the Middle-East. Did we mention they offer an all-day breakfast? Because they do! From 9:30AM to 3:30PM, you can enjoy their pancakes served with fruit mousse or their smoothie bowls - especially the one with the goodness of Tapioca, Chena, jaggery and fresh fruits.
Their bar menu is designed to be a perfect match with their food and you should ask them for recommended cocktails and food pairing. The North meets East of India with the Benoras to Goa, a fun cockatil of Banarasi thandai and rum that pairs well with their bar bite dish Streets of Calcutta. Try ‘The Beno’, their gin-based signature cocktail with a touch of lemongrass that refreshes you right from the first sip. Pair it with the delicious Bari Bari Calamari, a spaghetti dish cooked in coconut milk sauce and served with calamari and viola!
