Calling all book lovers! Bahrisons, the famous and leading bookstore in Delhi, has opened doors in Kolkata and it is one you will want to check out. Located in the heart of the city in Park Street, Bahrisons is spread across two floors. The ground floor comprises the newly released books as well as Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters cafe where people can sit and read or work while munching on some delicious food. The first floor houses the main bookstore with a very old-school library vibe to it.
There are sections dedicated to fiction, non-fiction, classics, comic books, books for children, activity books, mythology, sports, travel, religion and spirituality, fashion, film, photography, cookbooks, Hindi and Bengali literature, science and technology, history, poetry, drama, business, and more. The massive collection of coffee table books left us impressed.
Along with bestsellers and common titles, find rare editions like coffee table books on Chanel and Monet, Victory City by Salman Rushdie, coffee table books on Star Wars and Avengers, and more books that you might not find that easily in any other bookstore.
Another section we absolutely loved was the one dedicated to classics and it’s not just because of the titles but also because of the interesting book covers. From leather and cloth bound to hardbound ones, the book covers are sure to add a very vintage look and feel to your bookshelf or library. Also, find cloud classics as well as Russian titles and editions translated to English.
Best part? If you have a paperback book and want to change the cover to, maybe a leather bound one, to make it look more attractive, just get it to Bahrisons and they will gladly help you out with it.
