What Makes It Awesome

The city has a new bar-iish for all you guys living in the 'maybe', 'kinda', non-committal world. Well, why just live in the black and white world when you can celebrate shades of grey, right? Bariish in South City Mall aims to do just that.

With a vibrant, quirky and chic decor, the interiors of Bariish has all the warmth of nature fused with modern art and life in the form of murals, installations and paintings. As soon as you step inside, the huge island bar will definitely catch your eye. Blue walls, butterfly murals, soothing green and animal paintings dominate the space. Spot this big painting depicting the 'animal' version of The Last Supper. Light up your Insta feed by posing for pictures at this quirky corner beside the DJ console with bright pink chairs and cushioned stools.

It's the perfect place to hang out with your squad - sip on their signature 'Ginfusions', munch on modern Indian cuisine while enjoying nice and fun music playing in the background. The gin concoctions are a standout - sit by the bar and watch Pradeep, the bartender, work his magic with infusions like Gondhoraj Peel & Honey, Cucumber & Rose, Dry Lavender and Smokey Rosemary. Or sip on their in-house cocktails - shaken or stirred using the finest East India spices. The Hara Aam Badnam and Beach Please are a must-try.

The food is prepared using local ingredients and is light on the palate. From appetisers like Nacho Papdi Chaat and Lamb Boti Tacos to sliders and mains like Tava Subzi Fricasse served with Herb Pilaf (it was so good!), Bariish's menu will leave you wanting for more. Don't leave without trying the Coconut Thandai Panna Cotta - the perfect end to a scrumptious meal.

What Could Be Better

If you can't stand the smell of hookah, it may not be that good an idea to visit. It would have been better if the place had a separate section for sheesha.
