With classy interiors, romantic lighting, and ample seating options-Gong on Balewadi High Street is pretty famous among Asian food lovers. We hear their roast duck teriyaki bao is quite a hit. Ginkgo

Ginkgo in Kothrud mainly focuses on Japanese cuisine along with some Korean and Thai options. Run by two 23-year-old chefs, this Pan-Asian bistro is a cosy little space where you can indulge in some delicious mochi, sushi, tempura, miso soup, Thai curries, Som Tam salad (raw papaya salad), and many more dishes. Meal for two comes up to INR 1000. 

Ukiyo

Situated inside Ritz Carlton- Ukiyo is a fine dining Japanese restaurant. The restaurant surely has a sophisticated and classy vibe to it and a pretty extensive sushi menu. We suggest you try their Okonomoyaki Roll which comes with Octopus and their rock shrimp roll. They also have varied selections of California rolls, sashimi, and nigiri to choose from. A meal for two here would cost you INR 2500.

Miyuki

End your quest for the best Japanese food at Miyuki at Doubletree By Hilton. A Japanese-only restaurant, Miyuki serves everything from sushi, teppanyaki, and sauteed Shitake to yasai (char-grilled veggie dish), Matcha ice-cream, etc. If you think of this place as a huge dining area, you are wrong. It is a small dining section consisting of 10-12 seats attached to a live counter station. Looking at the dark red walls with Japanese tapestry, you are sure to feel as if you have entered a Japanese household. The cost for two is INR 1600 plus taxes.



Koji

Koji at Conrad serves ‘the best of’ Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine. Both the food and drinks here are nothing short of fancy. Go for their Chef’s signature truffle and edamame dumpling, prawn and chive dumpling with crab-meat and tobiko, wasabi prawns, and the ‘Koji Experience’ sushi platter. Yeti & The Monk

One of the best discoveries is always a quaint little cafe serving exceptionally good food. Savour comfort food at Yeti & The Monk, which specialises in Tibetan, Vietnamese, and other East Asian cuisines. Situated in Khadki, you can visit this cafe and enjoy a chilled glass of lemongrass cooler and garoush cooler (a sweet, red juice of garoush, a special kind of flower extract found in the Himalayas). The menu is limited but authentic. Try pork dumplings, pho and Vietnamese rolls. The rates are pocket-friendly and meal for two comes up to INR 600.
