The iconic Bhojohori Manna has just opened two new outlets in Shyambazar and Dum Dum.

Chow Down

The new items are the specialities here. You are bound to time-travel to a forgotten era as you munch on their newly-introduced Pora Bhetki, Mohonbagani Chingri Kebab, and Kandahari Kebab.

BM loyalists, fret not. Their quintessential Bengali spread remains untouched and retains the same flavour. Try some steaming rice with the season’s special Borishali Ilish {hilsa cooked in a mustard gravy with a hint of coconut and poppy seeds}, or Mutton Dakbunglow. Or just stick to a plate of Dhakai Chicken and Coochbehari Prawn Biryani. And there’s the delicious nolengurer ice cream to complete your bhuribhoj.

What We Liked

At the Dum Dum outlet, Bengali letters have been used to represent items shown in an interesting artwork. Interesting Bengali words have been written pictorially manner in a quirky artwork – like the word ‘igol'{Bengali for eagle} has the image of an eagle in the word itself. And the word ‘aam’ has a mango in it.

The Shyambazar one echoes the colonial Bengal look and feel. While you enjoy your meal, you can listen to a Bangla band and old Manna Dey songs.

Anything Else?

All items mentioned on their menu board are not available everyday. It’s best to ask the server What’s available before ordering. They staff are courteous and helpful.
