Kolkata Peeps! There's a new lounge in town and we dropped in to check it out.
Located on the first floor of Trinity Tower in Topsia (exactly where Episode One was), Billions boasts of an 'uber house' appeal with focus on global cuisine comprising Asian, American, Italian, Japanese, Thai, Malaysian and modern Indian food along with their signature 'Craftails'. The place is divided into five sections - seating area at the bar, two private rooms for small and large groups, an extensive dining area and the balcony that's basically a smoking area with lots of natural light and planters hanging from the ceiling. There's also a Billions Magazine Cover - a prop where you can click pictures for your Instagram feed.
Don't even get us started on how lavish and delicious the food spread is! From dim sums and sliders to pizza, kebabs and Chinese, Billions offers it all. Some of the must-try dishes include Mac and Cheetos (basically Mac and Cheese topped with hot cheetos), Truffle Edamame Dumplings, Chicken Cheetos Sliders, Green Hummus, Pork Belly Kakuni, Egg and Bacon Pizza and Wok Tossed Seasonal Greens (a Chinese soy-based gravy with lots of veggies). I alos loved the Beetroot and Feta Kebab as well as the Smoked Chilli Paneer Wrap. Definitely try the Billions Butter Chicken - it's their version in a white gravy.
Last but not the least, I would definitely suggest trying the heady craftails as well as the Lotus Cheesecake for dessert. Trust me, you'll leave wanting for more.
