If we were to paint you a picture of the ideal summer vibe amidst chilling winters, a much needed getaway of warmth if you will, then we will definitely go the 'blue water and white sands' route. One such sight of tranquil perfection is Arambol beach in Goa.

Amidst the lilting waves and peaceful coastal air, our inner wanderlust finds their solace. And if you yearn for that serene beach experience, here's our guide to everything you can do at this sweet spot in North Goa.

Best Time To Visit

The ideal time to visit Arambol Beach is from November to March.

How To Get Here?

Arambol is a bit far from the nearest airport. You can take a bus from either Panjim, Mapusa or Chopdem, depending on which part of Goa you are in.  We feel that the best way to get here is on a motorbike. Just hire one and start riding.

Once here, explore on foot. Arambol is pretty huge with other beaches in the vicinity like Paliem and Keri beach, each more beautiful and more secluded than the other. You can choose to trek on the Arambol mountain or check out nearby attractions like Mount Carmel Church.

Things to Do

Adventure:

Even though Arambol offers a simple life with simple pleasures, there are various activities to keep you busy all day long. You can go on a dolphin spotting trip or try your hand at paragliding. And you know what? Paragliding costs only INR 2,000 here (YAY!)

Take a dip:

Yes, just go have a swim. The sandy beaches are ideal for a morning or an afternoon swim.

Work on your Asana:

You will find plenty of yoga ashrams around the beach, step into one and stretch your body like a yogi. Nothing like taking care of your body while on vacation.

Therapeutic hot water spring:

There’s a hot water spring called Vagkolam but everyone calls it the sweet water lake that originates in the Goan jungle.

Nearby markets:

The Arambol Flea Market is a fantastic spot to explore. It opens on Saturdays with a spread of handmade items, bohemian clothing and food, all with live music. The Arambol Street Market operates daily from 10 AM to 9 PM, offering a variety of goods like spices and crafts, often at lower prices than other markets in Goa. The Drum Circle Beach Market, held around sunset, is a gathering spot where travelers sell handmade crafts while enjoying drumming sessions on the beach.

Where To Eat?

The beach shacks at Arambol Beach play host to a number of the happening beach parties in Goa. There is a relaxed vibe all around and a number of places playing live music. Psytrance is also a huge draw for the crowds here as they throng in numbers for a night of upbeat partying.

Places such as Relax Inn, Basho's, Laughing Buddha serve amazing and authentic Goan food. Don't forget to sample the fresh and simple seafood and delicacies such as Vindaloo, Sorpotel, Cafreal and more. You can spend a whole day and night here chilling and chatting with your pals over some beers and finger food. These shacks even serve you early breakfast, in case you come here for an early morning stroll.

Staycation In Arambol

Hostels such as Namahstay and Happy Panda cater to the backpackers whereas resorts such as JP Resort, Nanu Resort, and Lotus Sutra cater to more luxurious travelers.

However, tourists choosing to stay for longer durations of time prefer service apartments or basic BnB type of accomodations. If you are seeking a good mix of comfort as well as budget, there are a number of huts by the beach with fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms.

LBB Pro Tip

Do not miss out on the sweet water lake once you're here. The mud is believed to have the qualities of multani mitti which is a good exfoliator for the skin. Have we given you some much needed #vacationgoals?
