Tawa Street
This Viman Nagar joint is a favourite among Symbiosis students who love their pocket-friendly prices and variety. Their kebabs are delicious but if you’re looking for something a little more filling, their non-veg combo offers {rice/roti/ with chicken curry or kheema with pav} will make a nice dinner for only INR 160. Don’t forget to try their non-veg main course dishes and their chicken biryani for the best chicken overload you can ask for.
Tiranga Non Veg House
With multiple locations all around Pune, non-veg lovers can rejoice at the sheer number of chicken and mutton dishes on this restaurant’s menu. Their chicken lollipop are finger-licking good, but if you’re looking for something a little offbeat, their chicken Gavran starts {Although their signature dish does remain their biryani} is a must-have. Mutton dishes that we love here include mutton sukka masala and bheja masala fry. The portions are known to be quite large so you can definitely satisfy your craving without putting a burden on your pocket.
Pune Zarthosti Seva Mandal
This small store is rather easy to miss on the busy MG Road, but it’s affordable menu more than makes up for it. The chicken samosas are perfectly made and the kebabs will melt in your mouth. This hidden gem also has chicken rolls and cutlets, that are perfect for when you want to grab a bite on the go. The store is more of a takeaway rather than a restaurant that you can take your time at, but its buy-one-get-one offer more than makes up for that!
Ku Kooch Ku
This small stall is almost exclusively eclipsed by it’s chicken menu. Although there is not a large variety of dishes that are offered, the chicken tandoori is their speciality and worth the hype. However, we would also recommend the chicken biryani and the chicken rolls.
Lucknow Meri Jaan
Although the seating isn’t the most comfortable, this small restaurant has become a favourite for Lucknowi cuisine. The Galouti kebab and the Mutton Korma are the eatery’s specialities. Our favourite is the biryani. Keep an eye out while looking for the place, as this small shop is easy to miss!
