South Indian dishes have gained much popularity across the globe for its scrumptious Dosas, Idli, Crispy Vadas, hot piping Sambar and many more. From roadside stalls to big fancy stores you can relish the flavours of South India easily nowadays.
One such place is Chennai Square located in Salt Lake Sector 3 near Carnival cinemas. They are known to serve some awesome delicacies like Cheese Burst Dosas, Hakka Noodles Dosa, Mumbai Pav Bhaji Dosa etc. Along with regular dishes like Poha, Upma.
The ambience is very soothing and the decors are kept very minimal with decorative lamps hanging above the tables. The main moto is kept in providing quality food to people at a reasonable price. We tried out their Poha, Cheese Burst Dosa, Mumbai Pav Bhaji Dosa, Hakka Noodles Dosa, Upma and Lemon Rice Platter.
Coming to their Dosas, the crispness is well maintained and we loved their chutneys. Every dish is served with 3 types of chutney and a bowl full of sambar. The curry leaves and mustard seeds are tempered so nicely that the flavours come out bursting with each bite.
The Poha and Lemon Rice, on the other hand, was average and can be tried out if you are looking for some light dishes. Talking about the Bhaji Dosa, this was my personal favourite with bhaji masala over the dosa with a small pav bhaji bun and was sprinkled with onions and coriander leaves.
Looking for some refreshments? They serve some shakes like Mango, Strawberry, Virgin Mojito and beverages like Filter Coffee.
Currently, they have two outlets the other one being in Kaikhali, VIP Road. Drop-in or order via Swiggy or Zomato.
