From a 16-seater restaurant in Golf Green to 16 outlets in the city today, Chowman has come a long way and is surely a favourite for a lot of city folks. Chowman completes a decade and to celebrate that, it has added a few new dishes to its menu for the eternally food loving (not to forget, Chinese-loving) people of Kolkata.
To celebrate the completion of 10 years, it has introduced 10 dishes, to be specific. For starters you can choose from the Prawn Har Gau (Cantonese steamed dumplings made from a variety of starch sources, wrapped around a filling of delicious prawn), lamb rolls in soya sauce, crispy fried crab wonton and crispy honey lotus stem (shallow fried crispy Lotus stem flavoured with light soy, honey and a hint of chilli sauce).
Move to the main course and order the mushroom & black fungus in chilli soya sauce (for vegetarians), which is a spicy, flavourful and unique combination of stir fried assorted mushrooms & black fungus tossed in chilli soya sauce. Meat lovers can try the wok tossed cabbage with minced pork in oyster sauce, BBQ smoked fish, stir fried squid and clay pot braised chicken with mushroom (we already tried this one and can't get over it!).
Well, all of this is going to give our diet routine a really hard time!
