A pizza brand that originally started in Kathmandu, Nepal, Fire And Ice (in fact, one year before George RR Martin published Songs Of Ice And Fire!) is the delicious brain-child of Annamaria. Known for Italian food, it has gained most fame for their pizzas. And that's exactly what you should go here for too. Made to look like a typical Italian pizzeria with warm wooden furniture, red and green accents and plenty of green plants to divide the tables.
We started with Rondelle di Patate Fritte which really is homemade potato crisps served with fresh tomato and pesto sauce. The Focaccia with molten mozzarella and garlic is another fine starter. As are the salads (try the octopus one) and soups.
Pizzas are the mainstay and you'll be spoiled for choice. To keep things simple, vegetarians have the Margherita or the Fire And Ice which is Margherita with pesto, fried potatoes, oregano and rosemary additionally. Meat eaters, the Prosciutto is our favourite with plenty of ham on it. The Pollo is another top-seller, though the last time we went, the chicken was almost missing.
Looking for pasta? They do carbonaras brilliantly. Gnocchi also hits the right spot. Don't skip dessert. We advice the not-too-sweet chocolate mousse or the tiramisu that's to die for.
