Lost Recipes: This a very nice place situated at Wakad. The ambience was very cute. Different props inside the restaurant enhanced its beauty. They had a good music system and different games so that one can spend leisure time there. They had a decent seating capacity including downstairs, upstairs and also at outside. Service was really fast and the staff were courteous.
Started with:
◾ Chai: It was served hot with a traditional kulhad and brass teapot kettle. It had a different taste. I would strongly recommend this.
◾ Potato wheels: It was crisp and went well with the tea. It was nicely presented.
◾ Golgappa (Normal and Meetha): Normal golgappes were stuffed with mashed potatoes and served with teekha and meetha pani while meetha golgappes were served with meetha chutney.
◾ Fara: Fara is generally fried dumplings. Tried two different types of Fara. One was of rice base and another was of bajra base. Both were really good.
◾ Special Banarasi Mix Fruit Lassi: It had churned curd, different fruits and garnished with banana and pomegranate and dry fruits. It was very attractive to watch.
◾ Coconut Flavor Lassi: As the name suggests its major component was coconut. It had grinded pieces of coconut and garnished with dry fruits.
◾ Banarasi Veg Thali: It comprised Dal Baati, Litti Chokha, Pakode Curry, Sukhi Sabji, Paneer Curry, Dal, Rice and Roti. All the dishes were served on a leaf plate. All the dishes were properly cooked and tasted well.
◾ Banarasi Non-Veg Thali: It comprised Chicken Curry, Rice, Roti, Curd, Onions and lemon. The chicken was homely cooked with less oil and tasted really amazing.
In Dessert:
◾ Gulab Jamun: It was served warm and it was very soft.
Overall, it was a pleasant visit.
