After trying various Italian food outlets around Pune, the pizza and pasta scene was kind of getting saturated in Pune.
After visiting Freshcliq, it felt like a breath of fresh air, something different I've tried in quite some time. The menu is a pretty basic one with pizzas, pasta, salads, etc.
One thing I loved about the place is their well organized, clean live kitchen. you can see your food being prepared right in front of you. It's a lovely novelty. The chefs seem to be very well qualified.
We ordered Veg Alfredo Pasta, chicken meatball pasta in bolognese sauce, veg. lasagna, cheese garlic toast along with some drinks: Masala lemonade, virgin mojito.
1. Alfredo Pasta: It had the right balance of all ingredients and wasn't too cheesy had the right amount of sauce. It was a satisfying dish, can't complain!
2. Chicken Meat Ball Pasta: This tasted the best among all the dishes. The meatballs were very delicious and had the right amount of spice to it. This was the winner for me!
3. Veg lasagna: Pretty satisfying, nothing to complain. Pretty good for vegetarian lasagna.
4. Beverages: The mocktails were very refreshing although it could be served a little better in a proper glass instead of plastic glass.
Overall Freshcliq Pizza and Pasta is a great place for some great food. The ambience is pretty simple but the food makes up for it. Hope to visit again soon and try some lip-smacking Pizzas!
