How about trying some firangi food with desi tadka? Hakuna Matata, the all-vegetarian restaurant in Park Street, has come up with their new global fusion menu. So expect a host of Continental dishes infused with desi ingredients like jackfruit, saag and soya chaap.
Start off with Kashmiri Soya Chap -- baked soya chaap flavoured with shufta salsa. It's served with pickled mango gravy that gives a subtle tangy flavour to the dish. Then there's Jackfruit Galawati and before you start making that eww face hearing the word jackfruit, let's tell you this dish is indeed a must try. Here the jackfruit is smoked in pine wood and toppled with pickled tamarind chutney (see you're salivating huh!). Next we had the Mushroom Galawati Mousse Cone - here the Lucknowee mushroom galawati infused with thyme tamarind mayo is served in cones atop a wooden box, that is decorated with pebbles. Instaworthy? Hell yes!
If you're all for fusions then Paneer and Soya Masala Crepe, Desi Saag Risotto and Malvani Ravoili are must-haves. They also have Indian and Jain cuisines to cater to different tastebuds. End your meal on a sweet note. We recommend their Nolen Gur Cheesecake and Shahi Tukda Medaillons.
