I recently visited this Pure Veg place in town. It's located at Clover Hills Plaza, NIBM and has a lavish facade.
The ambience is extremely good with a perfect setup of small shops, street carts and of course, the colours get everything so full of life. The ambience will charm you over.
For the food, we tried all the usual starters which were good in taste, but a little expensive for the serving portions. We tried Bharwan Kumbh, Khade Masale ka Paneer Tikka, Dahi Ke Kebab and Subz Seekh Kebab.
What impressed me were the Chaat items. They were deliciously made like a perfect street side vendor does it and garnished to perfection. I loved all 3 that we tried Matthi Chhole, Dahi Vada, and a Dahi Papdi Chaat. They were at pocket-friendly prices.
In the Mains, we tried Gatta Curry, Dal Makhani and Paneer Lababdar with Cheese Garlic Naan, Missi Roti, Kurkure Roti and Green Chilli Paratha. Do try their Gatta Curry if you are here. A little unusual yet delicious for Pune' taste as it comes from a Marwari backdrop.
For desserts, we had Moti Chur Laddu flavoured Ice Cream and Paan Ice cream. Both were revivifying.
Overall:
Dikhawa Dhaba being a Pure Veg restaurant has a great variety to feast on. Their Chaats are simply amazing and can be put above the regular starters. Main Course has some delicious Marwari preparations and should be savoured for their impeccable taste. Not to forget, the place offers a stunning ambience indoors as well as outdoors. A perfect family place!
