What Makes It Awesome

Kolkata people, time to make merry! Indigo Delicatessen has finally opened an outlet in our city and you've got to drop in for a meal.

It's a simple yet sophisticated ambience with indigo blue colour tones and rustic interiors. It's spacious and cosy enough to allow you a private time with your loved ones. Don't even get us started on how amazing the food is! It's a lavish spread of mostly European and American cuisine but you'll also find food combinations that are familiar in taste like the vegan Ancient Grain Upma (made with jowar, bajra, Assamese black rice, farro, quinoa and nuts and served with a tomato chutney), Bombay Toastie, Murgh Malai Grilled (their version of the murgh malai tikka served with Parmesan mashed potatoes and buttered broccoli), the classic Fish & Chips and Charmula Grilled Prawns.

The food is appetising and easy on the palate. It's comfort food - sandwiches, wafer-thin pizza, pasta, burgers and stuff - that's not gonna make you feel too heavy or bloated. If you're a vegetarian and fond of tikkas but with a firang twist, we'd definitely recommend the Artichoke Gilawati - it's basically round tikkas made of artichokes served on a super soft yet crispy brioche with fig jam and sour cream. Another must try is the Turkish Falafel served with chili oil and pomegranate.

But if it's pizzas that set the mood for you, then you must try Tomato, Pesto and Fresh Mozzarella as well as Yorkshire that's topped with roasted beef and lots of cheddar and blue cheese! Best part? The crust of all their pizzas are wafer-thin sure to make you feel light even if you gobble down one all by yourself!

Wash it all down with their varieties of tea, coffee, mocktails, shakes, smoothies, slushes and juices. And, of course, how can you leave without having dessert? Go for the Whiskey Pate or the Brownie vs. Cheesecake. Prefer cheesecakes? Then, ask for the Baked Cheesecake of the Day.

There's lots to experience here when it comes to food. Drop in already if you haven't yet!
