For over thirty years, the iconic Kookie Jar has given us fond memories and delicious pastries. We hit up their largest outlet (in Hindustan Park) which has some great new additions to the menu.
The Kookie Jar outlet near Fabindia has several not-to-be-missed items. Apart from their iconic lemon tarts and chocolate boats, they have strawberry crumble pie – slightly tangy and crumbly, Salted Chocolate Caramel Pastry, Strawberry Crumble Cake, a range of eclairs, DIY cookie sets that you can take home and customise, a whole range of breads and more.
If you like sandwiches, try the Chicken or Prawn Focassia, Chicken Pesto and Chicken Egg in wholewheat bread.We adore their range of home-made ice creams in flavours like Fresh Strawberry, Belgian Chocolate (milk and dark), Salt Caramel, Fresh Lemon, Orange with orange rinds, Cappuccino. Along one wall behind the counter were shelves stocked with a range of freshly-baked breads.
Chocolate lovers shouldn’t miss the droolworthy Hot Chocolate On A Stick. Take it home, and stir it in a cup of milk for the prefect cuppa! The cakes are amazing. The Rosettes Truffle Chocolate Cake looks pretty as a picture. Available in many colours, it’s perfect for a pajama party with the squad or a bridal shower.
