Nothing can replace that happy feeling you get after having a scrumptious and delectable Chinese meal, and more so if it's easy on the pocket. Momo Plaza in Bhowanipore (near the Rabindra Sadan metro gate) offers exactly that.
It has got a homely ambience with brick walls, bright lights and a street-side Chinese feel to it. This place is a hotspot for college-goers (you'd definitely know about this place if you're from Bhawanipore or Shikshayatan!) thanks to its student-friendly budget, quick service and appetising food. You got to start with its momos. Gorge on steamed, fried, deep-fried and pan fried momos in vegetarian, chicken and pork variations. The pan-fried gravy momos are a personal favourite (our mouth's watering already!), which are well-stuffed and spicy.
The mains taste equally amazing. We can't get over the Pork Cantonese Noodles, Vegetable Chinese Chopsuey and Chicken Fried Rice. Chicken lovers! It'll be a crime if you leave without trying the Hong Kong Chicken and Schezwan Chicken -- it's one of the best we've had in the city. But if it's prawns that get you going, Prawn in Hot Garlic Sauce is what you should order. Vegetarians must try the Mixed Vegetable Gravy or the Sweet and Sour Vegetables, if you're not looking for something too spicy.
