Shortcut
What is it?
Run by two Darjeeling boys and childhood friends Reevu Wangdi and Pravakar Yonzone, Momo I Am is the place you need to hit if you are looking for the most innovative momos. The best thing is they make sure the re-invented momos please the tastebuds too, rather than following the rat race of adding anything and everything in their momos.
What I Loved
Mild spicy, spicy, super spicy or just normal, you name it and they have a momo ready for your palate. Steamed, fried or even soupy momos! Momo I Am is bound to make you ask for mo{mo}re! Imagine options like stir-fried satay, stir-fried chilli, and stir-fried hoisin momos. They even serve jhol soup momos – chunks of the dumplings in a flavourful soup.
There’s hangover momos too – a perfect dose for tipplers, these are stir-fried with tomatoes, onions, bell pepper, served on a bed of mashed potatoes topped with Schezwan mayo. All these innovative momos are not to be missed. Whether you are a chicken or pork lover, or a veggie freak, they are available in all three options.
If you try their chicken mushroom cheese panko momo, make sure to have it before it gets cold. But more importantly, don’t miss their T-Momo combos, available in chicken and pork options, 2 steamed buns and a bowl of spicy shyapta and chicken broth, it makes for a complete meal. Burp!
Anything Else?
They have four outlets across the city – in Lake Gardens, Golpark, Salt Lake and Rajarhat-Chinar Park. Momo I Am also has their own mobile app through which you can order, apart from Swiggy and Zomato.
