Bay View Shack is where you head to for that breakfast on the beach. Perched on the sandy dunes of Candolim beach, they offer a fully loaded continental breakfast with eggs, pancakes, juices, sausages, ham and whatever else you can think of. Plus since you are on the beach, a beer along with breakfast is optional too. And the owners and their team are always around with a smile and good food. Cafe Bhonsle
Café Bhonsle’s in Panjim is where you head to if you are looking to try a traditional Goan breakfast that is all vegetarian. From the suki to patal bhaji which comes with puris or pao, to their version of what we call the Goan samosa, everything here is about the food. Also do try their mushroom samosa here. Do not expect a great setting/ ambience or anything fancy, just go there for the food and leave without burning a hole in your pocket. Additionally, this place is open throughout the year.
Bistrot Botanique
Bistrot Botanique is another beautiful breakfast spot if you are in Assagaon. Overlooking a beautiful garden and their swimming pool, this al fresco café offers killer deal of just INR 330 for a fully loaded breakfast consisting of cereal or cheese toast, eggs of your choice, fresh juice, toast with butter and jam, tea, coffee or hot chocolate and a slice of homemade cake to finish it off. Ruta's Roadhouse
Ruta’s Roadhouse in Assagaon is another great place for breakfast, especially if you like your muffins & cakes, which are available here in delightful varieties. Or then just enjoy their fresh breads with your choice of eggs. The cinnamon rolls & sticky buns were also a delight and the owner is always around to have a chat with about anything under the sun. They shut early in the evenings, usually around 5pm, and are open through the monsoons so check here for more details.
