Fuji is, without a doubt, one of the best Japanese restaurants in Kolkata. Read on to know why you should drop in for a meal.
The menu includes a wide selection of appetisers, soup, curries, ramen bowls, sushi, sashimi, noodles, rice, and more such Japanese dishes sure to blow your mind away. For starters, you can try the Miso (fermented soy bean paste flavoured soup) or Yasai (miso flavoured soup with veggies) soup along with portions of Yasai Itame (veggies sauteed in soy sauce), pork-based Buta Yasai Itame, Chicken Katsu or maybe Salmon Fry Tarutaru.
For mains, the ramen bowls are a must try. Some of our favourites include the Buta Kakuni Ramen (noodles in a flavourful clear soup, with slices of pork), chicken-based Shoyu Ramen, Tori Yakisoba (stir-fried noodle dish loaded with veggies and Oriental flavours and Zaru Soba (boiled and chilled noodles served in a bamboo basket, with dipping sauces). Of course, no Japanese meal is ever complete without sushi and Fuji has a whole lot of them in nilgiri and maki mono varieties.
Prefer rice? Try the Yasai Yekimeshi (stir fried rice with veggies) or the Buta/Kalsen Yekimeshi (stir fried rice with veggies pork/seafood and egg). They've also got teriyaki, tempura and gyozas on the menu.
