What Makes It Awesome
As you drive up to the truck in your bike or car, one of the three brothers — Charles, Lazarus or Joseph will greet you with a smile and point you to their menu which is a spread of typically Goan snacky meals.
You have a choice of bite-sized homecooked Goan-Catholic snacks to choose from — we practically love everything here — the beef chilly fry with poi, the beef croquettes, sausage poi, the fish cutlet and poi, the delicious chicken cafreal, and the chorizo poi have to be our favourites — though whatever you pick, rest assured of delicious and tender meat, that is spruced up with a burst of flavours. And while you wait, as the brothers combine cheese and onions to have your sandwich ready in no time, you’ll spot many locals who have been frequenting the place since 2009.
The prices deserve a special mention — all this deliciousness comes very reasonably priced between INR 80 and INR 100 per plate. The food truck is there every day come rain or sun, from 6:30 pm till late into the night. However, given their popularity remember that if you reach very late, they often run out of various dishes.
