Nourishing Farms Cafe, a brand new eatery in Viman Nagar, is taking over Pune by a storm with its farm-to-table menu that features nutritious sandwiches, protein-packed salads, and cold-pressed juices made from hydroponically grown veggies from their organic farm in Kolhapur.
Started by engineers turned entrepreneurs Sunil Bardeskar and Diwakar Bedekar, Nourishing Farms Cafe began as a humble idea to bridge the gap between the fields where produce grows and the tables where meals are shared. Friends and co-founders Bardeskar and Bedekar started by providing marginalised small farmers with an integrated farming model to double their income. By forging strong relationships with local farmers and using best-in-class technology, they grew a variety of pesticide-free, highly nutritious, fresh, and flavourful vegetables.
The menu at Nourishing Farms Cafe is a testament to their commitment to promoting healthy and sustainable eating. If you like freshly made juices, you'll love their section with cold-pressed juices. We love the detoxifying Red Pepper Revitalizer made with pepper, capsicum, carrots, cucumber, and lemonade. It's great for curing hangovers. Bursting with a rainbow of colours and flavours, the salad menu here is nutritious and delicious. If we had to pick a favourite, it would be the Arabian Fattoush Salad with roasted hummus dressing. The Hearty Fruit Salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing would be a close second. If you're in the mood for something more substantial, the café offers a selection of hearty sandwiches full of flavours. The Roasted Vegetable Sandwich and Pesto Chicken Sandwich are a must-try.
