Founded in 2013, Omaggio was brought to life to provide a nurturing environment for those passionate about performing. Co-founders Peeya Rai Choudhuri and Tino Sanchez established a comprehensive training programme that seamlessly blends the discipline of western artistic work, contemporary dance, modern dance, physical theatre, improvisation, and acrobatic aerial training with the rich philosophy and spirituality of India, encompassing classical Indian dance, yoga, meditation, and more.
At Omaggio, the talented professional artists share their expertise through a diverse range of open classes, including various dance styles, aerial silk, aerial hoop, trapeze, straps, aerial rope classes, performances, personal training, group workshops, contemporary circus, yoga, and beyond. They also offer dedicated workshops on flying hoop and hammock from time to time.
In addition to their classes, Omaggio creates short films, productions, and unique picnic performances, allowing you to savor live dance and circus arts while enjoying your own picnic lunches and beverages. With new shows introduced each season, their upcoming production, El Artista, is a riveting contemporary dance circus show set to grace the Maya amphitheatre stage soon.
