Catch a movie, shop footwear, buy acessories, browse through clothes and try on jewellery at City Centre 1. But what does one do after all that is done? One eats. And for that, we list down the places from where you can eat, inside CC1.
Hungry Kya? Head To These Food Spots In Salt Lake's City Centre Mall
Afraa Deli
In case you have reached early for a movie and skipped breakfast, order the big breakfast board from Afraa Deli, which comes with spicy baked beans on toast, Roesti potatoes, grilled asparagus, mushroom and chilli cheese toast and juice or tea/coffee. If you like meat with your breakfast, you should definitely try their Three Egg Omelette served with white or multigrain toast and, you can choose between shredded chicken, ham or sausage.
The Orient
Located on the 4th floor, The Orient is where you have to go, to address your craving for authentic Thai, Chinese and Japanese cuisines. Start with the Thai Po Taek Clear Soup, and a portion of Fujian Crispy Spring Roll served with Basil Bean Curd and Peanut Sauce. The rolls were crispy and crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside and stuffed with enough veggies. Non-vegetarians can opt for the Phaad Thai Stir Noodles with Chives and Crushed Nuts and also the Nasi Goreng that came with chicken satays and a fried egg on top.
KFC
When too confused on what to eat, just rely on one name -- KFC. Munch on their chicken popcorns, zingers, wraps and call for a lemon virgin mojito with mint and masalas to quench your thirst, and you'll feel recharged to get back to whatever you were doing at the mall.
K Local
Sonar Tori
Fulfill your fantasy to dine like yesteryear's zamindars, and City Centre has the perfect place where you can tick that off from your to-do-list. From the typical old fashioned braided chairs with a faded off-white tone, to a dalan-styled seating area, with an open window, all these spell out royalty. Gur Ada Komola Lebu Mojito & Kacha Aamer Moshla Mojito are what we would suggest for mocktails.
In appetisers, try the Pur Bhora Betki (thin slices of bhetki with fish stuffing, are crispy fried with bread crumbs batter and served with mustard sauce). For mains, choose from Sorshe Narkol Chingri Bhapa, Murgir Ghoti Kebab and Mangshor Sutli Kebab, among others.
Food Court
Food courts are always convenient, to be able to choose from so many cuisines and options. City Centre doesn't have a traditional food court, but you can find kiosks of The Noodle Story, Wow Momo, Keventers, Kookie Jar, Krazy for Chocolates, Tea Junction, Pizza Hut and Pabrai Ice Cream.
