What Makes It Awesome?

With its first outlet in Narhe and the recently opened branch in Aundh, Thorat's Barbeque misal is soon gaining popularity among the Punekars for their barbeque misal. A bustling joint on Sunday mornings, the Aundh outlet has guests waiting for about half an hour to 45 minutes to grab their seats in this desi house. A simple outdoor setting and a much simpler menu make it easier to enjoy the misal. You can either go for the barbeque menu which includes assorted misal tarri (gravy) from 4 cities of Maharashtra accompanied by toppings, salad and farsan with unlimited pav or bread or ask for a sample of the tarri and then choose any one of the 4 that is available on the menu. Keeping it hassle-free, the menu has tea, coffee and buttermilk to drink along with the misal. The buttermilk they serve is hands down the best to accompany with the spicy misal. The taste is fantastic with my favourite being the Kolhapuri tarri followed by Puneri tarri.

The awesome part about visiting the place is that it doesn't burn a hole in your pocket as the barbeque is for 99 INR only while the single option is for 59.
So head over to this place for your next Sunday brunch and awaken those taste buds with the delectable misal pav

What Could Be Better?

An expanded seating arrangement since the place gets overcrowded on weekends.

How Much Did It Cost?

₹500 - ₹1,000
